Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a treatment which looks deeply to uncover root causes. The results are long lasting with a sense of empowerment and an improved sense of self. When you come to therapy, you may never have spoken this way before!
Psychotherapy explores our deep unconscious psyche, which can change ingrained behaviour’s and helps to develop new ways of diminishing our internal critics, resulting in being the best person we can be.
Anyone at any time can suffer with disharmony, stress, depression, sleeplessness, anxiety and despair. Age is no barrier, neither is intelligence, job status, money or gender. This is what is known as being a human being!
The giant underwater iceberg and tree roots are all very symbolic in psychotherapy referring to the underwater part being our unconscious state of these defence mechanisms. When we continue to bottle up feelings or push them to the side, then people have what’s known as breakdowns. In psychotherapy, it is precluded that we have to have been in the dark to see the light, gaining insight with psychotherapy often leads to uncovering parts of ourselves that were unknown. The result changes us by taking our thoughts to places we could never have gone to ourselves.
You can talk about anything in therapy
To get the best out of your therapy sessions which are private and confidential, it’s best not to worry about your therapist feelings or their opinions of you, in fact being completely honest, disinhibited, frank and direct will get you to a place of harmony and seeing things differently much quicker.
Remember, the biggest judge in our lives is usually ourselves
